Seismic Analysis and Design of Seismic Improvements
National Register of Historic Places - Antelope Valley Indian Museum
(Added 1987 - Building - #87000509)

In association with Page and Turnbull,
W | A Associates provided a complete seismic analysis and design of seismic improvements for this 72-year-old building partially built onto a rocky outcropping. The building incorporates whole Joshua tree trunks, rough-hewn open-beam ceilings, and stone rubble and concrete masonry.

W | A Associates structural designs included the use of new insulated panels to resist loads and other innovative uses of materials in an effort to provide adequate resistance against earthquakes while also preserving the historical features of the building.
